Participation in the conference "Heap Leaching in Cold Climates"
In July, specialists from Institute TOMS participated in the conference "Heap Leaching in Cold Climates" held in Khabarovsk. This industry-specific event proved to be interesting and useful for all participants, it served as a platform for exchanging specific knowledge rooted in the practical experience of research and mining companies.
The topic is highly relevant given that a large proportion of mining and processing facilities in our country are located in cold climates. The presented papers covered all stages of heap leaching projects in low-temperature conditions and considered numerous aspects of their implementation from the perspective of various specialists: metallurgists, technologists, ecologists, designers, and industrial safety specialists.
The conference’s program also included visits to production facilities: the gold processing plant and heap leaching complex at Polyanka deposit (NGK Resource, LLC / Polyanka Group of Companies) and the Amur Hydrometallurgical Plant (Polymetal).
