Accreditation of Institute TOMS to comply with general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories
In December 2022 Institute TOMS successfully proved its expertise for compliance with requirements GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019 “General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories” (Oder No. ПК1РА-243 of the Federal service for Accreditation dated December 11, 2022).
The scope of accreditation of the Institute’s analytical laboratory has been significantly expanded. For example, it is now possible, among others, to carry out such tests for ores:
- Determination of tungsten mineral forms;
- Determination of sulphur using ICP-AES;
- Determination of sulphide sulphur using IR spectroscopy;
- Determination of gold, platinum, and palladium using ICP-AES;
- Determination of fluorine in rocks, minerals, and solutions using a photometric method.
In addition, opportunities were widened to test process solutions (impotable water):
- Multielement (28 elements) analysis of solutions using ICP-AES;
- Determination of ferric iron;
- Determination of evaporation and ignition residues;
Determination of anions (chloride-, fluoride-, sulphate-, thiosulphate-, nitrite-, nitrate-, ammonia and ammonium ions, carbonates, and hydrocarbonates).
