Moscow International Mineral Processing Congress (MIMPC-2025) brought together leading specialists in the field of solid mineral processing, researchers, equipment and reagent manufacturers to share their experience, discuss issues and possible solutions.
Institute TOMS took part in the international scientific symposium Miner’s Week 2025 held by MISIS University, February 3–7. The specialists of Mining audit and consulting department delivered a report on advanced approaches to create geometallurgical block models and assess process variability of ores.
Institute TOMS was assessed and passed as consistent with the criteria of the national accreditation system.
In December 2024, Institute TOMS jointly with specialists of Tufekcioglu company and Sever Minerals JSC successfully carried out trials of a new advanced lab-scale flotation cell with computer-aided process control – TK LabFroth by Tufekcioglu.
Institute TOMS acted as one of the key sponsors of the 20th MINEX Mining and Exploration Forum that took place in Moscow on 9-10 October, 2024. The event was held under the slogan “People. Technologies. Mineral Resources”

JK Drop Weight / SMC Test Accreditation
Institute TOMS has routinely participated in JK Round Robin Testing. So it was in 2019-2020 when the testing involved 37 international research centres and consulting companies to estimate the quality of JK DWT/SMC tests performance.
On the 12th of May 2020, Institute TOMS received an official confirmation from JK Tech Pty that the testwork quality and the personnel competencies are in conformity with high international standards.
JK Drop Weight testing is designated to determine ore specific parameters which are then interpreted using JKSimMet Mineral Processing Simulator. JKSimMet package covers all relevant tasks related to analysis, optimization, design and simulation of data as well as storage and handling of models, data, and results.
The Institute’s TOMS specialists are trained and accredited to work with the JKSimMet soft package, which allows us to execute the whole scope of works starting from ore testing and finishing with flowsheets simulation for new plants or modernization for existing ones.
