TOMS specialists have visited the construction site of the copper plant MOF-3 of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (Uzbekistan). The construction has been implemented within an investment project “Development of Yoshlik I deposit”. The deposit is rich in such valuable metals as gold, copper, silver, and molybdenum
Institute TOMS became a title sponsor of the International Conference “Plaksin Readings – 2023” which was held in Moscow on October 2nd – 5th.

Visit to the construction site of one of the world’s largest copper plants – MOF-3 of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex
TOMS team has visited the construction site of one of the world’s largest copper plants – MOF-3 of Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (Uzbekistan). The construction has been implemented within an investment project “Development of Yoshlik I deposit”. The deposit is rich in such valuable metals as gold, copper, silver, molybdenum.
Institute TOMS accomplished successfully a package of process, engineering and design works which then served as a basis for execution of the subsequent MOF-3 project stages: concept of the ore process flowsheet and plant design, comprehensive test works, development of process design criteria, front end engineering design, plant design works (main design solutions, PFS, basic design stage).
MOF-3 is a new copper processing plant designed for throughput of 60 Mt of ore. The plant flowsheet integrates up-to-date process solutions: stage crushing, fine crushing in HPGR, ball milling in mills with 7.3 m diameter, centrifugal separation within a grinding circuit, 300 m3 subaeration flotation cells, ultrafine grinding in stirred mills, high-rate thickening, filter-pressing and others.
